Ford to give away cars, prizes to mark 100th anniversary
Oakville, Ontario – When Ford Motor Company turns 100 years old on June 16, 2003, worldwide celebrations are planned, including five days full of activities in Dearborn, Michigan. Ford of Canada dealers will celebrate all-month long and their celebrations will include Ford and Lincoln vehicles as prizes.
Customers who go to their Ford or Lincoln dealership and select a new Ford or Lincoln car or truck to purchase or lease can call into the Ford Centennial Celebration Hotline from the dealership and find out if they have won the purchase or lease of their dream car.
“The Centennial Celebration contest is a fitting way to mark the 100th year of the Ford Motor Company. It brings extra excitement to those customers who are interested in buying or leasing one of our ‘Built for life in Canada’ products,” said Mike Herniak, vice president, General Marketing, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Ltd.
“We think this contest will attract new customers to Ford and Lincoln dealerships in the hope that they will be the lucky winner of their purchase or lease,” Herniak added.
In all, 30 vehicles will be awarded — one car for every day in June. Contestants also have a chance to win one of 3000 limited edition Ford Centennial jackets. Commemorating Ford’s anniversary, 100 jackets will be awarded for every day in June at Ford and Lincoln Dealerships across Canada.
The Ford Centennial Celebration Contest adds to Ford’s current 0.0 per cent 60-month purchase APR financing on most Ford and Lincoln vehicle lines.
