Boston, Massachusetts – The Ford Taurus has been named Family Car of the Year by members of the New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA). The award was named at the 51st annual New England Auto Show.
Ford earned its second consecutive NEMPA Family Car honour, after the Ford Fusion won in 2006. The Taurus was cited by the association for its value, safety features, improved horsepower and driving dynamics.
Ford also presented its all-new 2009 Lincoln MKS flagship sedan, first unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November, while Roush Fenway Racing revealed the No. 6 Con-Way Freight F-150 that will run in the Craftsman Truck Series.
