Austin, Texas – The 2012 Ford F-150 has been named the Truck of Texas by the Texas Auto Writers Association. The F-250 Super Duty also received the award for its category, Ford’s EcoBoost technology was named Best Feature, and Ford was named the Truck Line of Texas. The Jeep Grand Cherokee took the Sport Utility top award.

Auto writers and broadcasters drove more than 1,500 runs in 48 vehicles during the association’s Truck Rodeo Event, a spring event where cars, crossovers and SUVs are tested at the Texas Motor Speedway, and also drove on- and off-road courses at the Knibbe Ranch in Spring Branch, Texas.
