Dearborn, Michigan – Ford has announced that its “iosis” concept car, which made its debut at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show, has been selected for the final short list at the prestigious Concorso e’Eleganza Villa d’Este, a show for antique and concept vehicles at Lake Como, Italy.
The iosis, based on Ford’s “kinetic design language”, was the inspiration for the European Ford Mondeo and S-MAX, which was named Europe’s Car of the Year for 2007.
The 2007 event takes place at the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este in Cernobbio between April 20 and 22; thirteen concept cars will be on display, and visitors will be able to vote for their favourite. The event is expected to attract some 4,000 visitors.
