Oakville, Ontario – Ford of Canada has announced that it will be hiring for approximately 500 positions at its Oakville Assembly Complex in Ontario. The new jobs are in response to high demand for the Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX, and the upcoming launch of the Ford Flex.

“The quality of the Ford edge and Lincoln MKX is among the best in the business,” said plant manager Ken Minielly. “Just last year, Strategic Vision’s 2007 Total Value Index named the Ford Edge as a segment winner and the Lincoln MKX as a leader. At Ford, we’ve raised the bar on our quality standards, and we’ll be producing the all-new Ford Flex with that same commitment to excellence.”

Applications for the positions can be made by visiting www.JobBank.gc.ca and looking for advertisement 3641570, or visiting a Service Canada office in Peel Region, Halton Region or the Region of Hamilton-Wentworth. The deadline for applications is May 1; the new jobs will be phased in beginning in late July.
