First eight students graduate from Ford/BC Institute of Technology program

Burnaby, B.C. – The first eight students in the Ford Automotive Student Service
Educational Training (ASSET) Program graduate from the British Columbia Institute of
Technology today.

The eight students graduating from this ASSET Program are the first group in B.C. to
have completed the program at BCIT. Ford of Canada contributed $400,000 in tools,
specialized equipment and vehicles to give the students the opportunity to excel in
the latest leading edge technology the automotive industry has to offer.

In addition, most Ford and Ford Lincoln dealerships in the Greater Vancouver Area
have pledged to give these developing technicians the real-world experience they
need to be successful.

  • Miklos Fekete – Coastal Ford, Burnaby
  • Christopher Hegedus – Metro Motors, Port Coquitlam
  • Michael Hudson – Dams Ford Lincoln, Langley
  • Stefan Kennett – Steve Marshall Ford Lincoln, Nanaimo
  • Ryan McDougall – Coastal Ford, Vancouver
  • Daniel Moody – Totem Ford Lincoln, Vancouver
  • Shane Prasad – MSA Ford, Abbotsford
