Longueuil, Quebec – Motorists are reminded of paving work that will continue on Highway 15 and on the Bonaventure Expressway on October 22 and 23, 2011.

Major weekend road work is now over for the Champlain Bridge. Night closures will continue to occur until winter, but the major day weekend work is now complete, and nearly 75 per cent of the bridge’s surface has been repaved since 2009. The new pavement will help protect the bridge’s concrete slab against winter road salt.

Starting Friday, October 21 at 10 p.m. until Monday, October 24 at 5 a.m., a single lane will be open in each direction on Highway 15 between Atwater and Nuns’ Island exits. For Nuns’ Island residents, it is very important to note that the roadwork on Highway 15 will require the closure of ramp P3 (entrance for Highway 15 South by Gaétan-Laberge Boulevard in Verdun) and Ramp O (entrance for Highway 15 South by exit 4 of the Bonaventure Expressway) during this period.

A section of the Bonaventure Expressway at Pierre-Dupuy Avenue will be completely closed to traffic in both directions from Friday, October 21 at 11 p.m. to Monday, October 24 at 5 a.m. A detour will be in place via exit 2 of the Bonaventure Expressway and then via its service lane.
