Vancouver, British Columbia – GE will bring its Electric Vehicle (EV) Experience Tour to Canada for the first time on September 15 when it opens in Vancouver.
The tour includes presentations by GE and industry leaders, educational workshops and EV test drives. Each tour segment provides a forum for GE experts to connect with local businesses, decision makers and public sector stakeholders to discuss the business case for EV ecosystems.
“Vancouver is a perfect place to highlight the growing need for an EV infrastructure to support the large-scale deployment of electric vehicles,” said Chris Bowler, general manager of marketing for GE Energy Industrial Solutions. “Business leaders here are embracing the need for a viable EV ecosystem and setting the standards for Canada’s recent advancements in implementing clean, ‘green’ energy practices.”
The multi-city tour is intended to help businesses and key stakeholders understand technical and business approaches for deploying electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.
The Vancouver event will showcase the installation of several EV charging stations in restaurants, hotels and power facilities in Vancouver. To date, GE’s Durastation chargers have been installed at Edible Canada, the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, and Powertech.
