Eight manufacturers confirm world debuts at Los Angeles show
Los Angeles, California – Eight manufacturers have confirmed that they will stage the world debuts of production or concept vehicles at the 2006 Los Angeles Auto Show. The companies named are Audi, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Mazda, Nissan and Volkswagen; some are planning multiple debuts.
“This is the earliest the show has received such major commitments for world debuts,” says Andy Fuzesi, general manager of the LA Auto Show. “We’re still four months away from the show, and there will be even more debuts announced.”
For the first time in its history, the show has received international sanctioning from the Paris-based Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles (OICA), which places it on the official international show calendar. The show is open to the public from December 1 to 10, 2006.
