Victoria, British Columbia – The DriveBC Web site has been overhauled and improved to make it more user-friendly, including an enhanced map view of the province’s highway network.

“Our DriveBC Web site is an invaluable tool, with details of current highway conditions, travel advisories and scheduled construction work,” said Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Shirley Bond. “We’re always looking for ways to improve the services we deliver. We’ve done that with DriveBC, giving you all the information you’ve come to rely on in a more user-friendly package.”

The enhanced map allows users to roll over icons to get details of highway events, road conditions and Webcam information. As with the previous version of the site, highway events are also available in list form. The site also gives easier access to the ministry’s 175 Webcams, strategically placed on highways around the province, and links to avalanche updates and border crossing delays.
