Chicago, Illinois – Dodge has introduced a new, affordable performance package for its 2011 Durango SUV at the Chicago Auto Show. The Durango Heat, designed to complement the performance-tuned Durango R/T, uses a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 engine producing 295 horsepower, along with aggressive new styling.
Both models feature a unique fascia with fog lamps, colour-matched grille and dark headlamp bezels, but a colour-matched body kit, wheel lips and rear fascia with integrated dual chrome exhaust outlets give the Heat a lower stance.
The Heat also shares the R/T’s suspension tuning, performance steering, unique 20-inch wheels, tuned dual exhaust and 20-inch wheels.
As in the R/T, the Heat comes standard with Uconnect voice command and premium 506-watt Alpine audio system with ten speakers including subwoofer.
