Dodge Caliber launched outside North America
Ibiza, Spain – The Dodge Caliber has been launched in markets outside North America, where it will compete in the C-segment worldwide. The company says that no European competitor in the C-segment five-door hatchback market has the same or higher-powered engines at the Caliber’s price, which is approximately 10 per cent below equally-equipped competitors in key European markets. The Caliber will arrive in markets outside North America in the second quarter of 2006.
Non-North American models will have the same interior features as their North American counterparts, but will also offer a 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine in addition to 1.8-, 2.0- and 2.4-litre gasoline engines. The car will be available in nearly 100 countries outside North America, in both left- and right-hand-drive models.
