Digital maps to feature Royal Bank locations
Toronto, Ontario – The RBC bank has announced that it will become the first Canadian financial institution to put its branded location on digital maps, including in-car or mobile navigation systems. Over the coming months, map users will be able to locate specific RBC branches or ATMs in continental North America.
“RBC has an extensive network of branches and ATMs across North America and we’re always looking for ways to make them more accessible to on-the-go consumers,” says Ann Bowman, vice-president, Channel Strategy. “This opportunity will allow us to get our logo into the hands of the millions of people who regularly consult online maps. Putting our brand on electronic maps is one more way that we can make it easier for people to find banking services.”
RBC has 1,126 branches and 3,899 ATMs across Canada, and plans to open 112 more branches and 400 ATMs by 2010.
