Detroit auto show attracts 808,833 visitors
Detroit, Michigan – The North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) announced that 808,833 people attended the show this year, making it the second highest attendance in the show’s history.
“This year, the more than 79 vehicle introductions set the pace for the industry for the year and kicks off what we expect to be a banner sales year,” said Chuck Fortinberry, NAIAS senior co-chairman.
Show visitors saw more than 700 vehicles, including more than 55 worldwide introductions.
The NAIAS is the only auto show in the United States sanctioned by the Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles, the Paris-based alliance of automotive trade associations and manufacturers from around the world.
