Dalhousie University to collaborate with Michelin on research projects
Halifax, Nova Scotia – Nova Scotia’s Dalhousie University and Michelin North America (Canada) Inc. have announced an agreement to conduct three joint research projects, intended to assist Michelin’s Nova Scotia manufacturing plants on a range of scientific and technical issues.
“Dalhousie and Michelin have a long history of collaboration and working together, and we are very pleased to strengthen that relationship with this new agreement,” says Dr. Josh Leon, Dean of Engineering at Dalhousie. “Michelin regularly recruits a number of engineers and other skilled employees from Dalhousie. This is just one more example of how Dalhousie works with the local business community and contributes to the economy of our region.”
The projects will commence in September and will concentrate on fire prevention, biodiesel fuel and energy management.
