DaimlerChrysler introduces consumer test-drive program

Windsor, Ontario – DaimlerChrysler Canada is offering consumers a chance to test-drive their new vehicles in a coast-to-coast tour which kicks off in Halifax later this week.

“We must continuously challenge ourselves if we want to successfully reach interested consumers, which is why we developed Gold Medal Tour, a program that brings our new products as well as a personal driving experience to nine cities throughout the country,” said Ron Smith, Vice President, Marketing, DaimlerChrysler Canada. In some cases, people will be behind the wheel of cars and trucks they’ve only dreamed of driving, like Chrysler Crossfire Roadster or Dodge SRT-4.”

The Gold Medal Tour is a nine-city, cross-Canada event that offers consumers an opportunity to experience firsthand the full line-up of Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles on three distinct and specially designed road courses that simulate a variety of driving conditions. The event is free to the public.

Vehicles available include the new Chrysler 300C HEMI sedan, Dodge Magnum, Jeep TJ Unlimited, Chrysler Crossfire Roadster, Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible, Dodge Grand Caravan/Chrysler Town & Country with Stow ‘n Go seating. Experts will be on hand to explain and demonstrate the vehicles and answer product related questions. Professional high-speed drivers will take them for a fast lap drive on a controlled path in vehicles like Dodge Viper SRT-10, Dodge Ram SRT-10 and Dodge SRT-4.
