DaimlerChrysler employees to participate in Habitat for Humanity projects

Windsor, Ontario – Four of DaimlerChrysler’s Canadian operations are offering employees up to one paid day off to volunteer at local Habitat for Humanity building projects this summer. The operations are DaimlerChrysler Canada, DaimlerChrysler Financial Services, Mercedes-Benz Canada and Freightliner Canada.

Habitat for Humanity is a worldwide not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping those below the poverty line become homeowners.

“We have dedicated and hard-working employees throughout our organization,” said Steven Landry, President, CEO and Chairman, DaimlerChrysler Canada. “In addition to the numerous charitable organizations we support across the country, we are excited to offer employees the chance to work together and take paid time off to share their skills and community spirit. This is the first time four of DaimlerChrysler’s Canadian operations have worked together on a community outreach program, and I can think of no better organization than Habitat for Humanity.”
