DaimlerChrysler Canada President and Vice-President to retire

Windsor, Ontario – DaimlerChrysler Canada announced that its Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Edwin Brust, will retire December 31, 2003. As well, Bob Renaud, Vice President, Public and Government Affairs, will retire effective December 31, 2003.

Mr. Brust spent 36 years in the automotive industry, including almost 20 years at DaimlerChrysler and five years as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of DaimlerChrysler Canada Inc. Mr. Renaud is retiring after almost 32 years of service with DaimlerChrysler.

Mr. Brust will be succeeded by Mark D. Norman who will take over as Chairman and President effective January 1, 2004. A replacement for Mr. Renaud has not yet been named.

Mr. Norman, aged 36, is a native of Chicago. He holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Rice University. He currently holds the position of Vice President – Sales and Marketing Operations for the Chrysler Group in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
