DaimlerChrysler announces new seven year power train warranty

Windosr, ON – DaimlerChrysler Canada today announced it will provide a seven-year/115,000 kilometre powertrain warranty on its Chrysler, Jeep(R) and Dodge brand vehicles.

The warranty, which is fully-transferable to subsequent owners at no extra cost, will be provided at no charge on new 2003 DaimlerChrysler Canada vehicles. Components covered by the “7/115 Powertrain Warranty” include the engine, transmission (transaxle), transfer case and axles.

Powertrain component coverage becomes effective following the standard bumper-to-bumper coverage of three years or 60,000 kilometres and extends to seven years or 115,000 kilometres, whichever comes first.

The DaimlerChrysler Canada program also includes seven years or 115,000 kilometres of Roadside Assistance. Services provided include towing, changing a flat tire, battery charging, delivery of fuel and vehicle lockouts.

“Today’s well-informed customers expect great quality and great after-sale service”, Ed Brust, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, DaimlerChrysler Canada, Inc. said. “We’re backing up our confidence in our 2003 model cars and trucks and the excellent service provided by our retailers
(including over 250 Five-Star certified retailers) with this substantially enhanced warranty which will give our customers long-term peace of mind”, Mr. Brust said.
