Continental Tire opens new Canadian Distribution Centre

Mississauga, Ontario – Continental Tire Canada Inc. (CTCI) has announced the grand opening of its Canadian Distribution Centre in Mississauga, Ontario. The 100,000-square-foot facility serves the country from coast to coast, which was previously supplied by offices and warehouses in the United States.

“We pulled everything out of the U.S. and brought it to Canada,” says Guy Hardiman, CTCI’s National Manager Sales and Marketing for the Passenger and Light Truck Business Unit. “This represents the importance of our market share within the original equipment segment, and especially the importance of having product readily available to the Canadian marketplace, particularly with fitments unique to the Canadian market, including such vehicles as the Smart car.”

The distribution centre will service the tire industry at every level, supplying national and regional distributors, independent tire retailers, and automobile manufacturers, including nearby assembly plants operated by DaimlerChrysler in Brampton and Ford Motor Company in Oakville.
