Blenheim, Ontario – Ontario’s RM Auctions, in association with Sotheby’s, will auction over 30 automobiles and other memorabilia from one of the world’s premier private museums at its event in Boca Raton, Florida on February 24 and 25, 2012.
The Milhous Collection represents over five decades of collecting by brothers Bob and Paul Milhous, including mechanical musical instruments and collectibles.
Headlining the vehicles at auction will be a 1912 Oldsmobile Limited five-passenger touring car, the only known surviving Oldsmobile from that year and estimated to bring US$1.4 to $1.6 million. Other vehicles will include a 1933 Chrysler Custom Imperial Tourist valued between $750,000 and $1 million; a 1939 Lagonda V12 Rapide Sports Roadster estimated at $400,000 to $550,000; a 1930 Duesenberg Model J Murphy Convertible Sedan estimated at $900,000 to $1.2 million; and a pair of V16-powered Cadillac models expected to bring between $700,000 and $1 million each.
