Windsor, Ontario – Chrysler Canada has announced the new 2011 Ram 1500 Express, aimed at first-time buyers and owners who want to customize their trucks.
“The Ram 1500 Express is an exciting new product added to the Ram truck brand,” said Ed Broadbear, vice-president of marketing for Chrysler Canada. “With the first-time truck buyer in mind, the Ram 1500 Express is a Hemi-powered vehicle combined with a stylish monochromatic sport appearance package. It offers tremendous value and is positioned as Canada’s most affordable truck with 20-inch wheels.”
The 1500 Express is $1,000 more than the price of a Ram 1500 ST model and offers a standard 5.7-litre Hemi V8 engine, body-colour grille with black honeycomb inserts, body-coloured front and rear fascias, chrome-tipped dual exhaust, fog lamps and 20-inch aluminum wheels. Other standard features include air conditioning, six-speaker media centre, automatic headlamps, behind-the-seat storage bins and variable intermittent wipers.
It comes as a regular-cab, short-bed model with 4×2 or 4×4 drivetrain. Available factory-installed options include a Class IV hitch, chrome tubular side steps, chrome steel bed rails, folding trailer-tow mirrors, and spray-in bed liner.
