Chrysler slashes minivan price to under $22,000

Vancouver, BC – In a bid to increase sales and head off increasing competition in the minivan market, DaimlerChrysler Canada has reduced the price of the 2004 Dodge Caravan short wheelbase model to $21,588, including Freight charges. The reduced price is for cash buyers only.

The 2004 Dodge Caravan 28C offered includes a 3.3 litre V6 and 4-speed automatic transmission, AM/FM/CD stereo, air conditioning, seven seats, two sliding side doors, power windows, locks and mirrors, cruise control, and Chrysler’s 7 year/115,000 kilometre powertrain warranty.

The company is also offering 0% financing on 2004 Caravans for terms of up to 48 months, and 0% financing on remaining 2003 Caravan and Grand Caravan models for terms up to 72 months. As well, customers need not pay for the first 90 days. However, if customers choose 0% financing, “they forego incentives available to cash purchasers,” and “the effective interest rate..could be up to 9%”, according to promotional advertisements.

DaimlerChrysler is also offering exceptionally low lease rates of as low as $310 per month with a deposit of $3,350.
