Auburn Hills, Michigan – Chrysler contacted fifty U.S. dealers who lose their contracts when the automaker declared bankruptcy, offering them a chance to rejoin the dealer network as full-line representatives.

The arbitrating dealers were sent letters of intent regarding the offer. Chrysler said the offer is an effort to find a “mutually beneficial resolution in situations that make sense for the customer.”

The dealers are in locations that offer benefits to customers and will have a limited adverse effect on dealers within the current network. Chrysler said that discussions to find mutually beneficial alternatives to arbitration with other dealers are under way.
