Chrysler recalls half million minivans
Detroit, Michigan – The Chrysler Group is recalling approximately half a million minivans, model years 1996 to 1998, sold in the U.S. and Canada. A part which provides power to the steering wheel may have been improperly installed, and could interfere with the operation of the driver’s airbag, horn or cruise control.
The affected minivans include the Dodge Caravan and Grand Caravan, Plymouth Voyager and Grand Voyager, and Chrysler Town & Country.
This is the third recall of Chrysler minivans this year. The first involved 1.3 million minivans to fix a possible fuel leak, and the second involved 545,000 minivans to repair insulation that might interfere with the rear seat belt operation.
