Auburn Hills, Michigan – Chrysler Group will idle its St. Louis North assembly plant, which produces the Dodge Ram, based on its current volume projections.

The plant will briefly resume production on June 29, 2009, then be idled on July 10. It will remain idled contingent upon volumes.

Chrysler said that it is working with the United Auto Workers Union (UAW) to address worker issues, and will offer several programs, including retirement incentives, enhanced voluntary termination, and the opportunity to transfer to other Chrysler facilities.
