Chrysler Group to continue with PGA

Auburn Hills, Michigan – The Chrysler Group’s Chrysler brand renewed its partnership with The Golf Digest Companies and its commitment to the Chrysler Club Championship. The tournament will continue through 2005 and expand to include two new PGA sections.

The Chrysler Club Championship is a stroke play event designed for top amateur golfers; in 2004, more than 30,000 amateurs competed throughout the summer. This year, the sections will include Michigan, Northern Texas, Northern California, the Middle-Atlantic, the Florida State Golf Association and the New England PGA section. One man and one woman from the field will then play with professional golfers and celebrities at the 2006 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic.

The Championship will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and the American Junior Golf Association.

In addition to its sponsorship, Chrysler will also arrange vehicle test drive programs at more than 200 participating golf clubs across the U.S. for players and spectators.

The company first sponsored the Bob Hope Classic in 1965 and is currently the single largest sponsor of the PGA Tour.
