Dealers will have input on whether to bring Rumble Bee sport truck to market
It seems Ram’s Rumble Bee concept isn’t a sure thing. At least not yet. Chrysler will be trotting the concept around to dealers to receive feedback on whether they think a production version is feasible for sale.
“We try to listen to the dealers,” said Dave Sowers, head of Ram Truck’s light- and heavy-duty marketing, to Edmunds. “They know their marketplace.”
If it goes into production, a few things will be missing from the concept, namely the matte yellow paint and the embedded bee in the shift knob selector.
Body bits, including bumpers, flares, and the ground effects kit will be included as well as the concept’s 5.7L HEMI V8 engine. The interior will also get the unique leather sport mesh seats in production guise.
Rumble Bee is meant to take on Ford’s newest salvo in the market, the EcoBoost-powered F-150 Tremor, as a street-bound hot rod pickup.
