Auburn Hills, Michigan – The Chrysler Foundation has announced its donation of US$50,000 to the Victory Junction Gang Camp, in honour of Richard Petty and his 50-year motorsports career in NASCAR.

The camp, founded by NASCAR driver Kyle Petty and his wife Pattie in honour of their late son Adam, is for children with chronic medical conditions or serious illnesses.

“No one has done more for the sport of NASCAR than Richard Petty, and Chrysler is proud to have played such a part in his success,” said Bob Nardelli, Chairman and CEO of Chrysler LLC. “Everyone at Chrysler is tremendously proud of our long association with Richard Petty and pleased to make this contribution to the Victory Junction Gang Camp.”
