Chrysler Canada kicks off 2007 United Way Windsor/Essex campaign with $1.68 million contribution

Windsor, Ontario – Chrysler Canada has announced it has helped the United Way begin its 2007 campaign season with a total corporate contribution of $1.68 million for 2007. The contribution includes the support of the company, employees and retirees, as well as CAW Locals 444 and 1498, and ONA Local 8.

“The men and women of Chrysler Canada in the Windsor area have really shown their commitment to our home community with this charitable donation,” said Reid Bigland, President and CEO of Chrysler Canada. “As the United Way’s lead Pacesetter, we hope our contribution sets an example for other organizations and individuals who share the goal of ensuring that Windsor/Essex remains a strong community and a great place to live.”

Chrysler Canada is also contributing to United Way organizations in Ajax, Peel and Greater Toronto in Ontario; Calgary and Area and Red Deer and District in Alberta; Lower Mainland in British Columbia; Greater Moncton Region in New Brunswick; Montreal, Quebec; and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
