2009 Dodge Challenger
Windsor, Ontario – Chrysler Canada has announced that pricing for the all-new 2009 Dodge Challenger SE will start at $24,995, plus a destination charge of $1,300. The SXT is priced at $26,995, while the 5.7-litre V8-powered R/T is $34,995 and the SRT8 with 6.1-litre V8 engine is $45,995. Dealers across the country are now taking orders for the 2009 model, which will arrive this fall.
“The Canadian-built, all-new 2009 Dodge Challenger gives customers a modern-day reincarnation of this legendary Dodge icon,” said Mark Bosanac, Vice-President, Marketing. “With an available 3.5-litre V6 engine that delivers 8.1 L/100 km and a price under $25,000, the Dodge Challenger offers the Canadian market a full range of models at an incredible value.”
The first five-passenger two-door coupe produced from the rear-wheel drive platform used for the Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300, the Challenger features three engine options and an automatic or manual transmission. Available models are the SE, SXT, R/T and SRT8.
At $24,995, the SE comes standard with a 3.5-litre high-output V6 engine producing 250 horsepower, mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and delivering an estimated 12.2 L/100 km in the city and 8.1 L/100 km on the highway.
The limited-edition 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8, with 6.1-litre V8 engine, is currently arriving in dealerships.
