Mississauga, Ontario – Chrysler Canada has announced the new Fiat 500 Cabrio, offering the fun of open-air driving at a starting price of $19,995. The new model will arrive in Canadian Fiat dealerships beginning this spring.
“Perfectly timed with the warm weather and excitement of spring, the new 2012 Fiat 500 Cabrio expands our product lineup while paying homage to the brand’s rich heritage of open-air cabrios that deliver style, value and driving enjoyment,” said Laura Soave, head of Fiat Brand North America. “The new Fiat 500c has been intelligently tailored for our market, now with an added dose of sunshine and panoramic views at the push of a button.”
The Cabrio includes a multi-position power-retractable cloth top and full stamped body-side silhouette. Its longer windshield and minimized header design maximize outward visibility for rear seat passengers while minimizing cabin turbulence. For easy access to the trunk, “parallelogram” liftgate hinges position the liftgate out of the way while the cloth top simultaneously retracts. The top retracts up to the rear spoiler at speeds of up to 96 km/h, and will close at speeds of up to 80 km/h.
The Fiat 500c will be available in two trim levels, the Pop at $19,995 and the Lounge at $22,995.
