Chemical explosion contained at Ford laboratory

Dearborn, Michigan – A chemical explosion occurred at the Ford Motor Company’s Research and Innovation Center in Dearborn, Michigan yesterday afternoon. The explosion was quickly contained and two laboratory workers were injured and transferred to hospital for treatment; three others were taken to hospital for observation. Employees were evacuated until it was safe to re-enter. The automaker issued a statement that the air in the building has been checked and declared safe.
