Winnipeg, Manitoba – A new Canadian invention, the Cord Bug, will solve the problems of damaged hoods, grilles and headlights, or lost or broken extension cords when engine block heaters are used. The made-in-Manitoba device was introduced specifically for Winnipeg winters, the inventors said.
The device is produced by Michael Clark and Kelly Taylor, hosts of The Road Trip on CJOB68 and Shaw TV, who came up with The Cord Bug when they noticed the number of cars with long, flapping block heater cords protruding from under their hoods. The device attaches to extension or block heater cords and provides secure, magnetic attachment to car hoods and fenders.
