Ottawa, Ontario – The Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA), a national trade association representing the automotive aftermarket, now has access to vital repair information from all vehicle manufacturers in Canada. AIA has signed on to the Canadian Automotive Service Information Standard (CASIS), a voluntary agreement aimed at ensuring that the aftermarket has access to service information, diagnostic tools and training information.

The agreement ensures that Canadian drivers have a choice between having their vehicles serviced or repaired at an authorized automaker’s dealership or at an aftermarket service facility.

CASIS is supported by the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers Association, the Association of International Automobile Manufacturers of Canada, and the National Automotive Trades Association.
