Canadian and Australian athletes win Subaru Ironman Canada

Penticton, British Columbia – Canadian Jasper Blake claimed his first Ironman title in the men’s competition at Subaru Ironman Canada in Penticton, B.C., while Australian Belinda Granger recorded her fourth Ironman women’s title.

Subaru Ironman Canada is the oldest Ironman event in continental North America, and took place this year for the 24th time. Athletes competed in the event for a $75,000 pro prize purse, and 80 qualifying spots for the 2006 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii. For more information, visit
