Canada’s most fuel-efficient vehicles named

Ottawa, Ontario – Each year, Natural Resources Canada presents the EnerGuide Awards to the manufacturers of the most fuel-efficient new vehicles sold in Canada in each of nine classes.
The EnerGuide Awards are now in their fifth year, and winners are determined using fuel consumption estimates for vehicles published in the annual Fuel Consumption Guide.

“I would like to congratulate the winners for making strides in vehicle efficiency,” said The Honourable Herb Dhaliwal, Minister of Natural Resources Canada. “Their commitment to energy efficiency helps consumers save money, cut greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality.”

Canadians can obtain more information about the 2003 EnerGuide Award winners by calling 1 800 387-2000 toll-free or by visiting the Office of the Energy Efficiency Web site at http://oee.nrcan.gc.ca/vehicles.
