Cadillac showcases new SLS at Auto China 2006

Detroit, Michigan – Cadillac has introduced an all-new SLS model for the Chinese market at Auto China 2006, an international motor show in Beijing. Shanghai GM is also showcasing the new Escalade and a new vehicle from the Wuling brand, as well as concept cars including the Saab Aero-X, Buick Enclave and Chevrolet WTCC Ultra.

Cadillac was introduced to the Chinese market in 2004 and currently sells the CTS sedan, XLR roadster and SRX crossover, along with the all-new SLS and Escalade. Based on the STS sports sedan, the SLS is 100 mm longer for extra seat legroom, and is designed to meet specific local needs as a chauffeur-driven vehicle. The new SLS will be built at the Shanghai GM plant for the Chinese market.
