Quebec City, Quebec – CAA-Quebec’s bicycle patrol is back for its fourth year in Quebec City and Montreal during the main summer cultural events.
The patrol will operate for 16 days this summer, an environmentally friendly and efficient way to provide assistance when many streets are harder for conventional tow trucks to reach.
“The festival season is a peak time for urban summer activities and we find it important to adjust the way we operate so that we can remain effective,” said Sophie Gagnon, CAA-Quebec assistant vice-president of public and government relations. “Services such as unlocking doors, delivering gasoline or changing tires account for nearly 60 per cent of all emergency road services provided by CAA-Quebec to its members. This means that the basic equipment carried by the bike patroller is adequate for numerous tasks.”
