Hamilton, Ontario – CAA’s South Central Ontario (SCO) branch has promised improved and expanded roadside services for its members in the Hamilton, Ontario area.

CAA SCO switched to a preferred-service-provider model, already successfully used by the auto club in most other Ontario communities. The new, more cost-effective service will put four additional service vehicles on the road and give members 24-hour access to towing and light services. The club discontinued its Hamilton-based fleet operations, which employed eleven people.

“We’re emergency service providers and our members count on round-the-clock access to all aspects of our roadside program,” said Cindy Hillaby, vice-president of CAA SCO. “Using a reliable contractor is the most affordable way of providing high-quality service. We need the new model in place in Hamilton before the winter driving season hits because it is our busiest time of the year.”
