Ottawa, Ontario – The Canadian Automobile Association (CAA) and Transport Canada have released a new brochure listing the top ten winter driving safety tips, with the goal of helping Canadian motorists prevent problems before they occur.
“One of this government’s top priorities is to keep Canadians as safe as possible,” said John Baird, Canada’s Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities. “Transport Canada, with the help of partners like the CAA, is working to make our roads the safest in the world by reducing deaths and injuries.”
The brochure, called You, Your Vehicle and Winter Driving, includes information about how Canadians can make their vehicles winter-ready, how to prepare for and drive in bad weather, and what to pack in a winter survival kit. The brochure is available online at Transport Canada or CAA; printed copies are available from CAA on request.
