Buick named official vehicle of PGA Championship

Detroit, Michigan – Buick has announced that it has signed an agreement with the Professional Golfers Association of America to become the official vehicle of the 2005 PGA Championship.

As part of the agreement, Buick will provide courtesy vehicles for the players at the 87th PGA Championship at Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, New Jersey this August.

The defending champion of the PGA Championship is 2004 PGA Player of the Year Vijay Singh. Previous winner Tiger Woods, who has an endorsement agreement with Buick, was the first player to win the Championship in back-to-back years (1999 and 2000) since 1937.

Buick has been the official car of the PGA Tour since 1984 and the official car of the PGA of America since 2002.
