Bugatti Veyron closer to production
Molsheim, France – Four Bugatti Veyron 16.4 sports cars are involved in endurance test runs and fine-tuning while production of pre-run models has begun in France. Production of pilot vehicles is planned for the beginning of May. It is expected the first production models will be available in the second half of 2005.
Powered by a 986 hp, 8.0-litre W16 engine with four turbochargers, and with a top speed of over 400 km/hr, the Veyron is one of the fastest cars of its time.
