Bridgestone to be title sponsor of Super Bowl halftime shows

Nashville, Tennessee – Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC and the National Football League have announced an agreement making the Bridgestone brand the title sponsor of the Super Bowl XLII and XLIII halftime shows. Bridgestone will also serve as the Official Tire Sponsor of Super Bowl XLII and XLIII.

In addition to title sponsorship of the show, Bridgestone will launch two new 30-second commercials during Super Bowl XLII. It will also have a strong presence at the NFL Experience, an interactive theme park in Arizona during Super Bowl week, and will serve as the official tire sponsor of the Pro Bowl, which is played the week after the Super Bowl in Hawaii.

Super Bow XLII will be held February 3, 2008 in Glendale, Arizona, while Super Bowl XLIII will be played in Tampa, Florida in 2009. Watched by 140 million viewers in the U.S. last year, the Super Bowl is annually the highest-rated TV program and most-watched single-day sporting event in the country.
