Joliette, Quebec – Bridgestone’s plant in Joliette, Quebec has entered a new partnership with the Corporation d’aménagement de la rivière L’Assomption (CAEA) to help protect the Saint-Jean River.

The river covers a territory of 73 square kilometres and is located in the municipalities of Lanoraie and Lavaltrie.

Over the next four years, the Joliette plant will provide $20,000 in financial support to CARA for water resources protection projects on the river.

“We are very proud to participate to this project, which rallies the companies of the region,” said Robert Verreault, general manager of the plant. “This project to help protect the important natural resources of the Saint-Jean River is in line with our company’s global environmental mission, to help ensure a healthy environment for current and future generations.”
