Bosch and Getrag to collaborate on hybrid systems

Stuttgart, Germany – Automotive electrical equipment manufacturer Bosch and powertrain manufacturer Getrag have agreed to work together on vehicle hybrid systems. Their new partnership will cover the development and marketing of parallel hybrid vehicle systems, in conjunction with dual-clutch transmissions and electrical final-drive units.

Key aspects will include the integration of mechanical and electrical components, and the development of necessary software. Getrag had displayed several hybrid system prototypes at the IAA international motor show in Frankfurt in 2005.
