Book about monster trucks published

St. Paul, Minnesota – MBI Publishing Company announced the release of “Monster Trucks”, by Tom Moor, the newest edition to the Motorbooks Enthusiast Color Series. This new title is a 96-page, full-colour tribute to the people and machines behind this unique motorsports phenomenon.

Written by long-time 4×4 magazine editor Tom Morr, with photography by Four Wheeler magazine Midwest Editor Ken Brubaker, Monster Trucks is an illustrated history of monster trucking from its beginning through today. It features photos from Bob Chandler’s Bigfoot scrapbook dating back to 1945 interspersed among images of Grave Digger crashes and other miscellaneous mayhem.

The book also explains how technological advances have made monster trucks marquee motorsports entertainers for decades and includes contact information for more than 100 high-flying, ground-pounding, wheel-standing, full-throttle exhibition trucks.

Monster Trucks, $14.95 (U.S.), is available in bookstores, and through Classic Motorbooks, www.motorbooks.com.
