Bombardier sponsors Indy Racing League’s Texas race

fort Worth, Texas – Bombardier will be the new sponsor of the Indy Racing League’s June race at Texas Motor Speedway.

The Bombardier 500k, scheduled for June 7, 2003, is the first race following the Indianapolis 500.

Bombardier, headquartered in Montreal, manufactures business jets, regional aircraft, rail transportation equipment and motorized recreational products including Sea-Doo, Ski-Doo, Evinrude and Johnson outboard motors.

“Bombardier is a world-class company,” said Eddie Gossage, Texas Motor Speedway general manager. “We are pleased to have them sponsor ‘The Original Nighttime Indy Race’ here at Texas Motor Speedway. It is one of the largest sporting events in the country.”

Bombardier has been an official sponsor of the Indy Racing League and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway since March 2002.

“This sponsorship is an extension of an already successful relationship with the IRL,” said Peter Edwards, president, Bombardier Business Aircraft. “We are excited to be part of the world of motorsports.”
