Munich, Germany – BMW Welt (World), the company’s delivery centre and automotive attraction in Munich, Germany, has welcomed its one- millionth guest. Eric Schillings from Brüggen, Germany arrived to pick up his new BMW 535d diesel-powered Touring and was notified of his milestone visit.

“We are proud to have broken the mark of one million visitors within just a few weeks after opening the BMW Welt,” said Rudolf Wiedmann, Director of the BMW Welt. “This proves that the BMW Welt is a new highlight for visitors to Munich and that people are thrilled by the unique blend of architecture, our innovative program of events, and the interesting exhibits.”

Schillings received a voucher for the Club Restaurant in BMW Welt and tickets to the re-opening centre of the BMW Museum on June 19. The restructured museum, which opens to the public on June 21, is part of the BMW Welt experience, along with a guided tour of BMW’s Munich Plant. BMW Welt opened in October 2007 and ranks among the five most popular tourist sights in Munich; along with vehicle delivery, the centre also hosts free jazz concerts, contains a variety of restaurants and features the Junior Campus, where children aged 7 to 13 can learn about mobility in a playful process.
