BMW to build two new distribution centres in the U.S.

Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey – BMW of North America has announced that it will build two new regional distribution centres to expand its network in the eastern and central United States. The new facilities will serve 275 BMW and Mini dealers and will be located in Lower Nazareth, Pennsylvania and Minooka, Illinois.

The facilities will be used to store nearly 75,000 items, including automotive and motorcycle parts, accessories and lifestyle items for the BMW and Mini brands. Both locations will incorporate numerous sustainable design and construction techniques, and are scheduled to open in the second half of 2008.

The company also has regional distribution centres in Senatobia, Mississippi; Jacksonville, Florida; and Stockton and Ontario in California.
